  • Egg Lake

This lake is found just north of Gemstone Ravine. It often floods the surrounding areas when the rain storms come through which sends much of the loose sediment downstream and into the ravine. This large body of water looks like a dragons egg when viewed from high above in the sky. This is why it is called Egg lake by the dragons. Though it may also be called this because many water birds congregate here to nest. That makes the birds good small game items for smaller dragons, and their eggs make for a nice treat in the spring and summer.

  • Gemstone Ravine

This ravine is well enough known for its size and the number of gemstones that can be found within it. Iron is a staple metal found in the most northern portion of the ravine area, along with rubies. Throughout the ravine, and the western lands in general, diamonds of various qualities could be found. This is due to the western lands proximity to the volcanoes on the islands off shore. Garnets, emeralds, high quality crystals, and volcanic glass could be found throughout the ravine as well as through a large portion of the west. Though most gemstones are washed down from the highlands into the ravine whenever the floods come through. Which is why the ravine is the best place to look for them.

  • Black Stone Beach

This beach separates the main forest from the Smoking Ocean. The water softly lapping at the black sands of the beach is much warmer than it should be; hinting at a potential danger someplace nearby. The beach itself is made of black sand eroded off of black volcanic rock from some distant place. The sediment was deposited on this beach as the ocean currents dragged the blackened sand to the mainland. Many animals live at the edges of the forest and hunt or fish at the beach. So there is almost always something to hunt nearby. This beach out of the three is perhaps the most beautiful with the best weather conditions. Seventy-five percent of the time it is sunny here but sometimes rain or storms will pass through.
